Apple Bars recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup apples - peeled, cored and finely diced
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Grease and flour 8 x 8 inch pan.
  • In small sauce pan, melt butter or margarine over low heat.
  • Pour into mixing bowl and combine with other ingredients, mixing well.
  • Pour batter into pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes.
