Blackened Green Beans recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 3 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed

    Instructions:

  • Heat a large pot over medium-high heat.
  • Add bacon, onion and garlic, and cook until browned.
  • Gradually stir in the green beans, stirring to coat with bacon grease.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
