Blue Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe |

Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar1/2 cup packed brown sugar1 cup shortening2 teaspoons vanilla extract2 eggs2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 cup wheat germ1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking soda1 cup crisp rice cereal1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).Cream together both sugars and shortening until fluffy.Add vanilla and eggs and stir well.Add dry ingredients one cup at a time and mix well after each cup. Add crispy rice cereal and chocolate chips and mix well.Place by teaspoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 11 - 13 minutes.Cool well before eating as the chocolate can burn your mouth.
