Chess Pie II recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dried mixed fruit
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

    Instructions:

  • Cream butter or margarine and sugar together.
  • Beat eggs into the creamed mixture, and blend until smooth.
  • Add raisins, dried fruit, nuts, and vanilla to the mixture.
  • Pour filling into pie shell.
  • Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
