Ingredients:
1/8 cup olive oil1 onion, chopped1 clove garlic, minced1 green bell pepper, chopped5 button mushrooms, chopped1/2 teaspoon dried oregano1/2 teaspoon dried parsley1/2 teaspoon dried basil1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained4 cups water
Instructions:
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the olive oil, onion, garlic, bell pepper, mushrooms, oregano, parsley, basil and red pepper flakes.Saute for about 5 minutes, or until onions are tender.Add the tomato sauce, chickpeas and water.Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
