Ingredients:
20 dried red chile peppers - washed, with stems and seeds removed5 cups water1 teaspoon dried, crushed Mexican oregano3 cloves garlic, crushedsalt to taste
Instructions:
Wash dried peppers and remove stems and seeds.Place in a blender or food processor with the water, oregano, garlic, and a pinch or two of salt.Blend on high until peppers are thoroughly pureed, pulsing occasionally.Adjust seasoning with salt, if needed.
