Death By Chocolate V recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5/8 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  •  
  • confectioners' sugar for dusting

    Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
  • Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa.
  • Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the sour cream, water and vanilla.
  • Beat in the flour mixture just until incorporated.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  • When cake is cool, sift confectioners' sugar over the top.
