Egg Custard Pie III recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

    Instructions:

  • Bake pie shell at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 5 minutes.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine melted butter or margarine, sugar, flour, milk, vanilla, and nutmeg.
  • Add beaten eggs, and blend well.
  • Pour filling into partially baked pie shell.
  • Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 45 to 55 minutes, or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
  • Do not overcook.
