Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar2 tablespoons shortening1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/2 teaspoon ground allspice1/2 teaspoon salt1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup1 cup raisins1 1/2 cups boiling water1 teaspoon baking soda2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8 inch square pan.In a large bowl, combine sugar, shortening, spices, salt, soup, and raisins. Stir in boiling water. Cool.Sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda together. Add to the cooled raisin mixture, and stir until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.Serve warm.
