Fabulous Oatmeal-Bran Cake recipe |

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups boiling water1/2 cup rolled oats1/2 cup whole bran cereal1 cup white sugar1 cup packed light brown sugar1/2 cup shortening2 eggs1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon salt1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
Pour boiling water over oats and bran cereal, and let stand 10 minutes.Combine the remaining ingredients, and add oat mixture to them. Pour into two 8 or 9 inch pans.Bake at 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes.To make muffins bake about 15 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
