Half and Halfs recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  •  
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

    Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, cream together 1/2 cup butter with 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
  • Beat in 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • Combine 1 1/2 cups flour with 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt, stir into the creamed mixture until well blended.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • In another medium bowl, cream together 1/2 cup butter with 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
  • Beat in 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • Combine 1 1/2 cups flour with 1/4 cup cocoa, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt, stir into the creamed mixture until well blended.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop a small amount of each dough onto a large spoon, drop cookies 2 inches apart onto an unprepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
