Mock Pecan Pie II recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups wheat and barley flake cereal

    Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, cream together butter or margarine and brown sugar.
  • Mix in cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  • Add corn syrup and blend until smooth.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  • Gently stir in cereal.
  • Pour mixture into pastry shell.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool before serving.
