Ingredients:
2/3 cup shortening2/3 cup white sugar3 eggs2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon salt2 teaspoons baking powder1 cup milk1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 1/3 cups chopped walnuts
Instructions:
Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder.In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine milk and vanilla, and add alternately with flour mixture to egg mixture. Fold in nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch cake pan.Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
