Ingredients:
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg2 cups rolled oats1/2 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup white sugar1 cup shortening2 eggs1/3 cup milk1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.Add oatmeal, brown sugar, white sugar, shortening, eggs, milk, and vanilla.Mix together. Stir in 1 cup of chopped walnuts.Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
