Rum Cream Pie recipe


    2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/8 cup grated semisweet chocolate

    Instructions:

  • Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until light and fluffy.
  • In a saucepan, soak gelatin in water.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Stir slowly into egg mixture.
  • Whip the cream to peaks, and add rum.
  • Fold into egg mixture.
  • Pour filling into cooled pie shells.
  • Sprinkle with shredded chocolate.
  • Serve after chilling for several hours.
