SMUCKER'S® Stuffed French Toast recipe |

Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened2 tablespoons sugar1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla1/4 teaspoon cinnamon1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans1 (1 pound) loaf French bread4 egg whites1 cup whipping cream or half-and-half1/2 teaspoon nutmeg1 (12 ounce) jar Smucker's® Apricot Preserves1/2 cup orange juice1/2 teaspoon almond extractFresh fruit
Instructions:
Beat together cream cheese, sugar, 1 teaspoon of the vanilla and cinnamon until fluffy.Stir in nuts; set aside.Cut bread into 10 to 12 (11/2- to 2-inch) slices; cut pocket in top of each.Fill each pocket with about 11/2 tablespoons of cream cheese mixture.Beat together eggs, whipping cream, remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and nutmeg.Using tongs, dip bread slices in egg mixture, being careful not to squeeze out filling.Cook on a lightly greased griddle until both sides are golden brown.(To keep cooked slices hot for serving, place on baking sheet in warm oven.)Meanwhile, combine and heat SMUCKER'S® preserves and orange juice.Stir in almond extract.To serve, drizzle apricot mixture over French toast.Serve with fresh fruit.
