Steamed Tuna Fish recipe


    8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds fresh tuna steaks
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sherry
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup minced fresh ginger root
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

    Instructions:

  • Place tuna steaks in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, and cover.
  • Cook 6 to 8 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, sherry, vegetable oil, green onions, ginger, garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Remove tuna steaks from steamer, and place in a serving dish.
  • Pour sauce over tuna steaks, and serve immediately.
