Ingredients:
5 eggs1 cup white sugar5 tablespoons boiling water1 cup all-purpose flour1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon lemon extract1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Separate eggs. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together three times.In a large mixing bowl, beat yolks until lemon coloured. Add sugar a little at a time. Add the boiling water and the flour mixture. Whip the egg whites to soft peaks, and fold into the batter.Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C) for 45 to 50 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven, and invert the pan over a bottle. Cool and remove from pan.
