Taco Lasagna recipe


    8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 11 ounces lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 24 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 8 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips

    Instructions:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  • Add tomato sauce, water and taco seasoning.
  • Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a 9x13 inch glass baking dish, layer noodles then meat mixture and cheese; repeat 2 more times.
  • There will be 3 layers.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from microwave, uncover and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle tortilla chips over the top; serve.
